Cancellation policy

Part of the terms of service. The plain version: cancel free up to 24 hours before your session. Everything below is detail.

Cancelling as a student or parent

24 hours or more before the start: cancel from your sessions page, no reason needed. If you paid from your hour balance, the hours return immediately. If you paid by card or PayPal, the payment is refunded in full to the original method — refund timing then depends on your bank, typically 5 to 10 business days.
Less than 24 hours before the start: the session can no longer be cancelled free of charge and the fee remains due to your tutor, because their time is reserved for you. If something serious prevented you from attending, write to us; tutors can choose to release the fee, and for genuine emergencies they usually do.
Not attending, a no-show, is treated like a late cancellation.
Rescheduling is a cancellation plus a new booking and follows the same rule. Rescheduling in good time is always free.

When your tutor cancels

You are always made whole: hours return to your balance or your payment is refunded in full, whichever way you paid, regardless of notice.

We help you rebook, and repeated cancelling by a tutor has consequences on our side.

Sessions booked with a coupon or bundle discount

Refunds return exactly what you paid. Balance hours return as hours.

EU right of withdrawal

Separate from this policy, EU consumers have a statutory 14-day withdrawal right for online purchases — see the terms of service §A7 and /legal/withdrawal.

In practice the free cancellation rule is the one you will use day to day; the statutory right exists alongside it.

How to cancel

Sessions page, then the session, then “Cancel session”. It works up to the moment the free cancellation window closes; the page always shows the exact deadline in your timezone.
